Feathery, Beaded & Sequined Chanel

These are the windows at the Chanel boutique on 57th Street in Manhattan. I was more drawn to the accessories than the dresses.

I don't know about the feathered dress...

But I'll take the necklace.

Yes please to the pale pink bag, although I wouldn't throw the gold one out of my closet either. Studio 54, anyone?

More feathers, this time on the bag.

Was it necessary to have the mannequin lying down wearing this gorgeous dress?

I'd skip the fingerless gloves but the cuffs are keepers.

What do you think?

I love those cuffs...wish I had one!! I would love to live somewhere where I could look at fabulous window displays all the time! These are such fun! If you want to see some serious, bling, come on over to my site today and look at the Fiesta royalty gowns...over the top!! I always love your comments thank you for reading!

You are such a wise woman. How I enjoy to be able to look into Chanel´s on 57th street through your eyes, ahhhhhhh
I Do not see myself in feathers either, hehehehhe. But,as you say, the rest are keepers.
Have a brilliant weekend.

I love feathers but I'm not convinced by that dress - I love the bag however (though Topshop probably has something similiar at a percentage point of the price) and those cuffs are stunning.

I like feathers too, but not on THAT dress. Joan rivers did a thing on feather earrrings last week--they were a NO!
More windows!--please~

Hi Pam, next time you are in NYC, please let me know, we can go check out the windows and then stop somewhere swanky for a drink! I loved the fiesta gowns. I need a return trip to San Antonio. I've loved it the several times I've been there.

Hi Sacramento, I'm with you, feathers are not my thing in a dress, but it's always fun to see what Karl Lagerfeld is imagining for modern-day Chanel.

Bella my dear, I could see you wearing these cuffs. Did you see the Bill Cunningham film? I have to come visit your blog and find out.

Hi Tria, thanks for following my blog, I've stopped by yours and love what you are doing. I'm following you!

Hi Veshoevius, if you find a Topshop bag like the Chanel, I hope you will feature it!

Hi Paula, you know, you've inspired me, I think I will go back into the city this week to take more pictures of windows. Are you coming to NYC anytime soon so we can see them together?

Hi Terri, I'm with you, I'm not sure where I'd wear a feathered dress. Plus, it's just not me.

Hi T! Stop by any time!

You're lucky to have such wonderful places to go window shopping. The clothes leave me cold despite my adoration of feathers. I will take three cuffs though please and maybe a clutch;))) xo

Hiya Pull Your Socks Up! I really do love looking at the windows, they always knock me out with the creativity. I'm with you, the cuffs and the bags were wonderful.

How did I miss this post?!

Gorgeous pictures--they definitely make me long for some walks in NYC. I agree, the cuffs are lovely. A touch of turquoise always makes me happy!
