Judith of Style Crone.
Adrienne of The Rich Life in Wine Country and I decided to post another year-end roundup of all of our favorite “How I Wear My” pictures of 2016. Our rules are simple: We exempt ourselves, choose only photos from our own posts, and do not tell each other in advance who we are selecting. This was fun to do last December and I think I appreciate it even more this time out, since I am marveling that another year is drawing to a close.
Here are my personal favorites for each month of “How I Wear My” for 2016.
I loved the beautiful picture, above, of Judith of Style Crone adjusting her long gloves. What a perfect photo for our January roundup and it looks to me straight out of the pages of Vogue!
February, Rose Quartz or Serenity
Trina of Tea Time with Trina.
Trina of Tea Time with Trina had such a great take on Rose Quartz and Serenity, the Pantone Colors of the Year for 2016. I loved how she paired them with ivory and it was a mesmerizing touch for the lenses of her sunglasses to also get in on the act.
March, Tote Bag
Cheryl of Northwest Mountain Living & Style.
Our friend Cheryl of Northwest Mountain Living & Style looked so flirty and fun with this Adora orange tote slung over her shoulder. There is something about this photo that captures what I think might be the essence of Cheryl—casually glamorous, always with a smile on her face, and loving life.
Glenda of So What To Twenty!
Oh do I remember this photo sent to us by Glenda of So What To Twenty! I still love it—from the deep blue sky, to the vivid orange of Glenda’s dress, to her silver shoes, her twirl, and her beautiful smile. For me, this photo and this look is the epitome of bohemian style!
Tamera of Tamera Beardsley.
There are so many photos of Tamera of Tamera Beardsley that I love but this one has to be close to the top. I am crazy for the entire outfit—what a great way to showcase giant pearls—and I also adore her breezy smile! Wherever she’s headed with that vintage white suitcase I want to meet her there for a glass of bubbly!
June, Vacation or Resort Look
Ana of Mrs. American Made.
I loved the pairing of this multicolored top on Ana of Mrs. American Made, with shorts, high-heeled sandals, and an orange suede tote that she made herself. And hello legs! She is like a modern-day Betty Grable with those gams.
Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb.
I really liked the easy chic of this tunic ensemble on Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb. She always has such great ideas for putting outfits together and I think this one was perfect for those hot days of summer when you want to get dressed in two seconds but still look put-together.
August, Cropped Pants
Nora of Jacket Society.
I still love this photo of Nora of Jacket Society, wearing one of her own beautiful jackets (you know I never get tired of lace, I wish I would’ve snapped one of these up before they sold out!) with Zara white cropped pants. Nora always assembles her looks using such amazing accessories and this outfit was no exception.
This photo of Savvy Senior in his yellow suit still makes me smile every time I see it! He is the father-in-law of our friend Dale of Savvy Spice and I think he looks so dapper in yellow.
Jacqueline of Petite Silver Vixen.
I do believe this is my favorite photo of Jacqueline of Petite Silver Vixen who wore her neckerchief with such panache! I loved the double polka-dot look (I also loved the Ghillies). If you get a chance do stop by Jacqueline’s blog, she could use all of our moral support, she recently lost her mother, unexpectedly, and is also caring for her father, who has terminal cancer. I am thinking of her so much these days.
November, Long Cardigan or Duster
I always love a long cardigan and I thought my good friend Rosie looked so jaunty and glamorous in this long blue cardi with gold buttons, livened up with stripes, a straw hat, dark sunglasses, and giant pearl earrings!
December, Holiday Party Look
Suzanne of Suzanne Carillo.
I am still swooning over this photo and look on Suzanne of Suzanne Carillo. What a gorgeous ensemble for holiday parties and Suzanne looks so very beautiful wearing it against a background of dramatic flowers.
So many amazing looks this year! “How I Wear My” cannot happen without all the fabulous contributions we receive every month and we are grateful for each and every one. I once again thank you for the beauty you bring into my life!
Do swing by Adrienne’s to see her personal picks for 2016.
And THANK YOU to the fine foxes who joined us all throughout the year. I wish you a happy holiday and a healthy and prosperous 2017!
