Adrienne of The Rich Life (on a budget) thought it would be fun if we did a Best of “How I Wear My” 2014 roundup and I completely agreed! We decided to exempt ourselves, choose pictures only from our own posts, and also to not tell each other who we had selected. I don’t yet know how Adrienne fared, but I can tell you it was not easy to pick a single look from each month’s theme and for a few of the months I simply could not pick one favorite, it was a tie!
Here are my top picks of “How I Wear My” for 2014!
Aya of Couturgatory, above, wore a gorgeous and unusual Buddhaful coat paired with a long white skirt. It was such a beautiful picture of her and I still love it.
I wear jeans so much of the time that this look by Ana of Mrs. American Made is close to my heart. I love the Weston Wear pink blouse under a tweed coat with leather detailing and the T-strap shoes peeking out from under the edge of her jeans. Casual yet elegant!

Pictures of Sheree from It’s Not That Deep are always so good and this is one of my favorites of her. She is wearing Brian Atwood boots and, perched on the narrowest of high heels, she looks as glamorous as ever in a range of neutral tones and those glorious trees behind her!

Suzanne of Suzanne Carillo mixes patterns together so well and this photo of her in a floral skirt worn with a leopard print sweater is proof of how easy she makes it look. This is such a great outfit on her!

This outfit from Dawn Lucy of Fashion Should Be Fun was easily my favorite look featuring sneakers. I still love the unexpected pairing of a long black and white striped skirt with burgundy Converse kicks.

My favorite look for June was by Catherine of Not Dressed As Lamb, who combined a sequined and striped Les Petites top with a lavender skirt. I thought this outfit was spring perfection, from her hair and sunglasses to her high-heeled sandals and neutral bag!

July, Summertime Picnic Look
Terry of Terry’s Two Cents looked so dapper in his gingham shirt, khaki shorts and fedora. I also loved the addition of black leather loafers with no socks!

I struggled so much selecting just one look for this month because we received so many amazing pictures. I found I could not pick only one and had to make this month a tie!
Veshoevius of The Taxonomy of My Wardrobe sent in a photo featuring this beyond-gorgeous combination of white and cream from the H&M Conscious Exclusive collection. I loved the scrolling details on both the jacket and pants. I also liked the mix of masculine and feminine in this look.

Glenda of So What To Twenty!, meanwhile, sent in this stunning and ethereal photo of herself in a strapless and pleated white dress, the ultimate in femininity.

This ensemble by Cynthia of My Rose Colored Shades is the height of summertime glamour in my book, from the black dress to the gold gladiator sandals. I also liked her clutch, aviator sunglasses, jewelry and wide belt.

October, Favorite Color
As much as I love blue these days it was easy to pick this terrific look in different shades of blue from Silk Path Diary. I like the white flats she wore with it and of course that beautiful blue Kelly, wrapped with a Twilly!

November, Leather, Crystal or Glass
It seems to me that since November’s theme encompassed more than one item (in honor of HIWM’s 3rd anniversary!), it only makes sense that I would have two favorite looks, each highlighting one aspect of the theme.
I thought Linda of A Labour of Life looked so great in this leather skirt, with those sexy red plaid (and studded!) high heels, and a fun dog sweater and statement necklace peeking out from her leather jacket. This is my favorite picture of her!

Nora of Jacket Society shared this drop-dead gorgeous photo of herself in a stunning ensemble and featuring an amazing crystal necklace. I think she looks like a Vogue model in this shot and the style is pure Grace Kelly, updated for today!

This was another month where I had to call a tie because I loved both of these very different looks for very different reasons!
Nicole of High Latitude Style took red and green, the colors of the season, and turned them on their heads with this outfit, a surprising combination of two brights put right next to each other to make one outstanding look. This is definitely my new favorite picture of her!

Deja of Une femme d’un certain âge really knocked me out with this long black sweater. I love the drama of it and how it elevates jeans and a white T-shirt.

Do head over to Adrienne’s to see what looks she chose as her HIWM favorites of 2014.
And THANK YOU, so much, to everyone who sent in a photo this year. We could not put this series together without you and we love it when you join us! Thank you for a very stylish 2014!
