Met Gala Red Carpet Livestream

For the first time in its history, the red carpet arrivals at The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Benefit will be live-streamed online on Monday, May 7, 2012, from 6:30-8:30PM (EST), on the Vogue, Amazon.com/Fashion, and the Met’s website.

This year’s Costume Institute exhibit is Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations.

The livestreaming will be hosted by Vogue’s William Norwich and Elettra Wiedemann (daughter of Isabella Rossellini) and will include interviews with gala co-chairs, including Carey Mulligan, Miuccia Prada, and Anna Wintour.

The hosts will also ask attending celebrities five additional questions chosen from viewer submissions on Twitter (#MetQuestions) during the streaming.

My question will be, “Anna, who are you wearing?”

These are some of my favorite looks of hers from Met Galas in the past.

That is exciting!
I love that first dress you featured. It's quite dramatic!

Hi Adrienne, I liked that dress too, even though I believe it was mildly panned in the press. And I LOVE the second dress, the silver one. I know that had negative comments because it was rainy and humid that night and there was in Anna, in long sleeves and a jacket. I don't care, I loved it anyway and obviously she did too. XO, Jill

Hi Veshoevius! I'm with you, the second dress is so great. I need to find out who made it. I want to say Chanel, but could be wrong. The more I see it, the more I love it! XO, Jill

It must be challenging being the daughter of such a stylish mum ^_^
Have a nice weekend!

Hi Hang, how are you? Bee is so gorgeous herself and her style seems really effortless and classic. I love that she attends the Met Gala with her mom. You never see pictures of Anna's son! XO, Jill

Hi Terri, are you going to watch the livestream? I will look for you on Twitter because I'm definitely tweeting about it that night! XO, Jill

Hi Jeannie, another vote for the second dress! I know Anna wears practically a uniform during the day (cardigan, skirt, Manolo strappy sandals) but she pulls out all the stops for black-tie events and I can't wait to see what she is wearing the evening of May 7. XO, Jill
