Tory Burch & Tunics

Tory Burch in one of her own tunics. Love it! Photo by Noa Griffel.

Tory Burch, the American fashion designer, is one of the first people who comes to mind when I think of tunics. I realize a tunic is an article of clothing that has been around forever, but it has been a staple of Tory’s work since her very first collection and she offers them every season in different colors and patterns. The version she wears here is a bit longer than the typical size you see everywhere in summer and I think it is so pretty! If I owned it I would wear this alone, like Tory does, with a beautiful necklace, or try it with a pair of white linen palazzo pants and slide sandals. There is a great Q&A over at the Tory Burch site about her association with tunics and why she loves them so.

Let Tory’s casually glamorous look be your friendly reminder that July’s “How I Wear My” is devoted to tunics! Show Adrienne and me your favorite way to wear them by sending pictures to us at howiwearmy@yahoo.com by July 11, 2016. Tory would want you to join us, especially if you have one of her beloved tunics on hand!

That is a great looking tunic! I don't think I could get away with it! Tory has such a petite frame that it balances well. Tunics and maxi dresses never seem to look right on me. Excited to come back and see how others style their tunics!

Hi Michelle! I'm with you, I don't think I could pull this tunic off as well as Tory has here. I saw her in person at an exhibit preview once and she is indeed very petite! We are getting such great pictures for this post, I can't wait to share it with everyone. xx
