| The glamorous queen of Bergdorf! |
This year’s holiday windows on the Fifth Avenue side of Bergdorf Goodman are a collaboration with Swarovski and are called “Brilliant Holiday.” What a razzle dazzle multicolored shimmering delight they are! The details, as usual, are such that you want to stand at each window and stare at them forever. I always go to see the windows at night when there are less crowds, and in order to get better pictures, but I can just imagine how these displays must sparkle in the sunlight!
This window is “The Crown Jewels,” complete with an Elizabethan-era queen, knights, a huge golden crown, a lap dog, winged griffins, and two crown-wearing lions. Love it!
| The tiny girl in front was fascinated with this window. She was so adorable! |
| What’s a monarch without her beloved pooch? |
This window is “Hidden Gem,” featuring one glamorous miner. I loved the tones of purple throughout this window.
| I loved the amethyst hues in this window. |
This display, “Glitterati,” was my favorite, featuring babes having a wild party celebrating every month of the year.
| Two of my favorite mannequins this year. |
| Who doesn’t love a champagne bottle festooned with crystals?! |
| Love the feather hat on top of turquoise hair. The mannequin holds a list in her hand... |
| ...featuring Birthstones. I do not agree with June, October or December! |
What happened to pearl for June, opal for October and turquoise for December? Not that there is anything wrong with alexandrite, tourmaline or zircon, it’s just that I like the traditional birthstones!
| The cake for June in the background and the cake for August on the left. |
All you pearl lovers out there should appreciate this window, “Treasured,” which features thousands of pearls! This was another window that really captured my heart.
| A glorious Neptune and fish made out of pearls! |
| The dress is by Naeem Khan. |
| The jewelry is by Kentshire. |
| I loved these swirls of pearls! |
The window “The Crystal Ball” features a monkey fortune-teller and a sweet-faced mannequin sitting at the table while the Wheel of Fortune behind them slowly turns.
| Waiting to hear her what the future holds for her! |
| This gal looks pretty happy for having a monkey reading her future! |
Once again the incredibly talented designers and artists have turned the Bergdorf windows into a dreamlike wonder. Let me know which window is your favorite! I will be back one more time to focus on the smaller windows on the Fifth Avenue side of the store, with drool-worthy accessories and clothes. You can see the windows on the 58th Street side of the store
here.
I hope you are enjoying these final frenzied days leading up to Christmas!

Hi Rosemary, I know you enjoyed them as much as I did. They are always the highlight of the holiday season for me! xx
Hi Pam, I hope you enjoy your Christmas with your family! xx
These windows are High Art...much rather have them than anything Bergdorf sells.
Hi GSL, oh you and your monk-like existence, eschewing things of the material world. I want both the BG windows AND a good deal of the very fine items inside the store. I agree with you 100% that the windows are High Art! xx
Honestly Jill, I could just I've in a Bergdorf Window.
I'm seriously considering doing my breakfast room walls in Swarovski crystals. lol.
Duchess of H, always a pleasure to see you here! Aren't these windows just amazing? I wish I would've had time to get up to Hermes on Madison to see what they did as well! x
