A recent photo on The Sartorialist called “On the Street…All White, Florence” showed a woman in wearing a white blouse and pants, adding color with her woven belt and a pink and red Hermès Twilly scarf wrapped around her wrist, above her watch. I decided to try a similar look with my Twilly in the Tohu Bohu pattern, in the red colorway, paired with a J. Crew navy blue sailor striped shirt.

You look incredible--even more beautiful that the inspiration. Would you like to hear something funny? I did the exact same thing upon seeing the Sartorialist. I wore a twilly as a bracelet Saturday. A few hours into it, I realized my arm was starting to get numb--it was tied too tight!
Immediately I took it off and decided just to keep the twilly handy as a tourniquet. :)
I love this look! The twilly (new-to-me word) adds a special something, but your outfit and you look great with or without.
Cool watch, by the way.
What a great idea...the scarf is such a cute touch with the outfit...and you look great...skinny lady!
Oh, Jill, it is great to see a pic of you--even standing on mom's couch (did she know?). I really, really like the scarf around the wrist!
Very chic! Love the twilly idea--I'm not a bracelet person--but I could do that!
Such a crisp, clean look. I love the Twilly as a bracelet, though it would have looked quite smart...and French...knotted at your collarbone!

Love this look!! You look fabulous, and I like the idea of wearing the scarf as a bracelet!!! I often tie mine around the handles of my purse. I feel like I need to get more wear out of them!
Hi Catherine, thank you for your kind words! Did you see the same picture I did, the Italian hottie in her all white with the Hermes Twilly and watch? I couldn't keep that Twilly on all day because I was going to a kid birthday party and did NOT want to get pizza or birthday cake on my Hermes silk.
Hi Adrienne, most of the time when I see pictures on The Sartorialist I don't have the ingredients in my wardrobe to whip up a similar look but when I saw the lady wearing the Twilly on her wrist I couldn't resist trying it out myself. And my watch is by Fossil and is practically a fossil itself at this point, since I bought it about 12 years ago. It's a great watch, chunky and masculine without overpowering my wrist, and I've always loved blue watch faces.
Hi Pam, thanks for your kind words. I normally don't like to post pictures of myself but reading blogs like yours are making me think it's time to rethink my position on that subject!
Hi Terri, I hope you do a post about a scarf around the wrist. I'd love to see how you wear it. I'm not sure my mother saw me standing on her sofa, but in my defense I didn't have shoes on and it was only for a minute or two!
Hi Paula, I hope you do a scarf-as-a-bracelet post too. I'd love to see what you pair it with. Are you still away? I'm going over to your blog to find out.
Hi Vahni, I normally wear a Twilly around my neck since I am still dealing with too much kid stuff and don't want to get sunscreen, dirt, Goldfish crumbs, you name it, on my Hermes silks.
Hi Fabrizia, thanks for stopping by and thanks for the compliment! I will try to stop by your blog and see what you're up to. Nice to meet you!
Hi Sarah, I'm with you, I need to get more wear out of my scarves. I want to do more of what you suggested, tying a scarf around the handle of a bag. I always love that look.
