Sedaraby Rhinestone Buckle d’Orsay pump by Manolo Blahnik.
This Saturday is the last day to see the fun exhibit Shoe Obsession at The Museum at FIT. I will admit it has gotten me thinking about shoes more. I wouldn’t call myself a shoe fanatic and I can’t wear a heel over 3½ inches, it’s just too high (and do I really need to be over six feet tall?), but I do like a stylish shoe, even if I’m admiring it on someone else.
Here are a few more of my favorites from that show:
Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte. I can’t help it, I love this shoe!
Another Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte shoe. Look at that carved wedge!
A case of wild shoes, all owned by Daphne Guinness.
If you could own just ONE expensive pair of shoes, what would they be? I’m thinking I’d go for a Manolo Blahnik, either a Mary Jane-style (single-soled, none of this platform business), or one of his totally glamed-out designs like the silver d’Orsay pump above.
Tell me about your dream shoes!
Manolo Blahnik Mary Jane. I would love this in black!
And a-ha! It does exist because here it is as featured in the show.
Shoe Obsession is on view until April 13, 2013.
